Blog Update - The New Look on WPYB

If you have been around, you  have probably seen the new look on my blog. Words Passing You By has gone through a lot of different blog designs lately (what can I say? I'm a little picky), but it has landed on one perfect design thanks to Ava from Quiet Land. She was super kind and willing to work with me. Here are some pictures from the process:

My first moodboard for the blog. 

Also, we started to work on ideas for the sidebar, Ava threw a few out and graciously accepted my many denials (whoops).

After thinking about it for a minute and running around pinterest for more ideas, I created this moodboard and the image on it inspired my sidebar.

Ava sent me some rough sketches to go with the flower-head idea.

I chose the second, which led on to this:

I about died of happiness. Spot on. Ava's drawing skills amazed me once again (all I had seen of her drawings were on her blog and blew my mind!).

Unfortunately, during the small edits of the blog, I didn't think to take screenshots to show them. So all we have is the finished result with the sidebar. *grins* I would like to thank you, Ava, for bearing my pickiness and still getting what I love through all of it. God is good. hoo baby.

So there we have it! the process is a bizarre thing.
