Monday Madness: S1 P8 (IT'S BAAACK)

(i don't know about you, but i'm excited that MM is back. it's been what, a month? so long. let's get this show on the road, people! booyah.)

"But -- but, that's unfair!" I yelled. "I wasn't even there. I went on the mission and I came back with everything you needed! The girl was here!"

"I understand that, Jon. But simply, the director needs someone to fire and we can't spare anyone else." Her voice was calm and irritating and I just wanted to... ugh. 

"Well, fine. I hate this place and I think the director is stupid and firing people is just..." I clenched my fists. "STUPID!!"

She rolled her eyes. I was fuming and this place was hot and I just needed to get out. I stomped out the door, slamming it for effect. Everyone's eyes were on  me as I walked through the halls. I figured they already knew what happened, but did they really have to stare? I hated it when people stared at me. 

I made my way to my room, and closed the door behind me. Finally. Alone. People were dumb and... and there was no reason to fire me. I did my job. I may not have done it very professionally and great, but I was a beginner. And it was my first mission! Of course I wouldn't do perfect. I sighed, looking down. There was a paper on the floor. I picked it up. It was just a note telling me that I had 48 hours to move out and find myself a place. Oh, fantastic. Just fantastic.

There was a rustle in the room. The lights were off and it was dark. I reached to my belt for a gun... finding it empty. Great, now what was I supposed to do? Use my fists? Well, that actually wasn't a bad idea. 

"Who's there?" I called out. "I'm not in the mood for... whatever you have in mind." Yeah. I wasn't the best at threats.

More rustling and a shape was moving towards me. Unless some dork was crawling on their knees to attempt to kill me or something, it wasn't a human. I flipped the light on. Beowulf walked towards me, whining. 

"You? Why does it have to be you?" I groaned. "You're one of the thin mints that got me in trouble! Now I'm fired." I ran a hand through his fur, scratching behind his ear. "I'm gonna have to travel to like Alaska or something. I'll freeze to death and avoid being a bother any longer. What do you think about that, huh? What do you think about that?"

I looked around the room. It wasn't going to be hard to pack all of it up, but I barely made enough on my paycheck to feed me well enough pay for the room. I'd need to find a job. And then what would I tell my dad? He always wanted me to be an agent. 

"Well, poop." I sat down in my computer chair, swirling it around. I stopped once I thought I heard a noise. I waited. There it was again. It was a knocking noise... on the window? I was like... seven stories up. I walked over to the window, moving the curtain out of the way.  There was... nothing. The second I opened the window, I was greeted with a gun. 

I slammed the window shut on the arm, making the gun go off. I was greeted with water to the chest and someone yelling. 

"OH MY GOSH, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT??" The voice belonged to the rest of the arm. "YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO FREAK OUT OR SOMETHING. NOT BREAK MY ARM TO SMITHEREENS."
