TA DAAA. I am here with part 2 of the story me and Hannah are co-writing. We have decided to title it Monday Madness. And we both post every other Monday. She wrote part one, I wrote part two (this post here), and then next Monday she will write part three, and so forth. If you want to read part one, go - here - I'm also going to post a page on my blog titled "Monday Madness" where I will be linking to each post. *thumbs up* I am sooooooooooo excited. I HOPE YOU ENJOY.
I decided to use this photo because I cOULDN'T FIND ONE TO FIT THE STORY AHH |
Cops? Distracted. Dave Jones? Dead. Or pretty much close to it. I really never did like that guy. He sweat too much when he was nervous. I learned not to start panicking when I was nervous. In fact, I rarely ever got nervous.... okay, lie. But you learned that way back in training anyway.
I wove through the crowd that stopped to stare. No one was watching me, but rather the distraction-and-kill team. I made it to Keilah, tapping her on the shoulder. Her eyes were full of fear and shock. I grabbed her hand, practically yanking her arm out of socket as I hurried away.
Past the crowd, through BabiesRUs, and to the car, I ran the instructions through my head. They were short and easy to follow, but I couldn't mess this mission up. It was my first and hopefully not my last. I just needed to get to the end.
"Where are we going?" Keilah asked, trying to breathe evenly. "And who are you? Why did they kill that guy?"
"I'm Jon."I glanced back at her. "And that's just part of the plan. Besides, that 'guy' almost killed you."
"He did not even almost kill me," Keilah snorted.
I stopped, seeing BabiesRUs running with the police.
"Darn it," I mumbled under my breath. Keilah bumped into me, not expecting the sudden stop.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Police."
"Wait, what?!? I thought you were the police. Who are you? Are you holding me hostage?"
I winced. "Sorry," I said, pulling a needle out of my pocket and inserting it into her neck before she could react. "I can't let this mission fail." Imagine that, letting your objective run away to the police who you were trying to get away from.
Keilah fell limp in my arms and then the black suburban showed up.
"About time," I muttered, lifting Keilah up from the ground with ease. Actually, she was a lot heavier than I thought she was and it was hard. But I pretended like it was easy.
The door opened and Carl, a skinny dude with buff arms and a head too big for his body, hopped out. I jumped in, noticing the cops near BabiesRUs were starting to come over. Beowulf, the dog, barked happily once he saw Keilah. I felt like some big hero, holding the unconscious girl in my arms and getting into the 'burban.
My head hit the top of the vehicle and I groaned. Carl snickered, hopping in beside me and closing the door.
"Floor it, June," Carl yelled, whooping. The cops had just arrived at the scene, and more were coming on behind us.
The suburban lurched, throwing Keilah wildly to the back of the seat. I winced. She was going to wake up with a million bruises. Thrown around in a wild car escape plus getting hit by Dave... Yeah, no. That was not anyone's ideal day.
Join Hannah next Monday for part 3. *grins*
