To Hannah Joy

Thousand-pagoda fields, Bagan, Myanmar

It's Hannah Joy's birthday and she's amazing so this post is dedicated to her. <3 I LOVE YOU SO MUCH HANNAH.

//

the world turns,
does it not?
and we,
we live on.

pain and laughter and sorrows shared
stars and sun and rain shared alike
not much separates us from each other

we breathe,
do we not?
and life,
life goes on.

i hear your laughter blow in the wind
i see the brightness of your eyes in the flowers
i have never met anyone quite like you

the rain falls,
does it not?
and the sun,
the sun shines on.

our hearts are twined together in this awful storm
our songs may be different, but they flow with each other
our love for our Maker is one and the same

so love,
Hannah Joy,
love even when it hurts.

laugh,
Hannah Joy,
laugh your heart out.

remember,
Hannah Joy,
His Promises are new every morning.

pain,
Hannah Joy,
does not last forever.

numbness,
Hannah Joy,
isn't all that you feel.

darkness,
Hannah Joy,
means that there is light.

we,
Hannah Joy,
were meant to be best friends.

I'm with you till the end of the line, pal.

    1. Thank you tons, Cindy. :-)

I liked the overall look of your blog, but you are missing quite a few things. And the post that I saw was nice, but totally against a lot of my opinions and stuff. So yeah. Sorry.

  9. This post got me, it was really touching. It's things like these that make me want to get right on into poetry, I LOVE IT! *Sigh* Also, the last quote sounded suspiciously Captain America-y... Would I be correct in that assumption. (I'm not obsessed, pinky swear!)
