Together

words are mine, but the picture is from pinterest

A small bridge led to the mountains. The field ended there. And from there, the bridge brought you to a trail. The trail was woven into the mountain. It was woven into the crazy adventure. It was woven with rocks and flowers. It spoke, like an old friend, of the path ahead.

“Let me take your burdens and lead you,” it said.

                “I am afraid,” Candence replied.

“I will take care of you.”

And so it did. She traveled on it, marveling at the beauty surrounding her. The trees were tall and brave, the grass was the brightest green and gentle, and the wind followed the path like a child running to its mother.

Sam was there. He was laughing and he was running. He was free as the birds that flew in the sky, as free as the stars that shone brightly in the sky, as free as the water that flowed in the ocean. He spoke words of joy and sorrow. But biggest of all, he was the lighthouse in the storm. He searched for those that were lost in the darkness.

He was the sun and she was the wind.
