i stood with the scoffers

and i spit upon your words

even though all you had shown to me

was kindness

when evil showed itself

at my doorstep

i bowed to it

but you stood firm

and took the wounds

that were meant for me

and in the end

i knew you were always right

but my stubborn mouth

my stubborn heart

rebelled against the thought

that someone

i barely even knew

would be so kind to such an outlaw

would show love

to the least of all

but the crazier thing is

i am forgiven

all because of the love of

a Prince 

and his King

innocent blood shed

for the guilty people

so i finished Out of Darkness Rising by 

Gillian Bronte Adams.

and it was beautiful.
