freedom

 https://www.pinterest.com/pin/374502525240406218/

the vibrations in your seat
the words forming melodies in your ears
an image in your mind

close your eyes

the wrong string plucked,
but the music continues
even more beautiful

breathe

the wrong key on the piano
a fallen boy
but it makes it real

look up

vulnerable, tired, almost gone
the wrinkles in his eyes tell you about it
a reflection of yourself that you didn't know

and then a sob breaks his lips

it's okay

and tears escape mine
i don't know why it happens
or why it spoke to me so much

but it did

pray for freedom
freedom

i'm a broken weary soul
held back by things unseen
chains i've grown so accustomed to
 and some woman out there
is battling the same battle
different circumstances,
but the fight is still the same

let's go Home, dear.
travel that beaten path.

    1. Jordaayy. Thank you! I went to an Andrew Peterson on the 2nd. It made me sob and everything. Like... so good. There's too much to say in a little comment and I don't think I'll make a post. But it was so stinkin' good. Queen of Iowa is the song. You can look it up if you want.

  7. Thissssss CANDENCE. Give me writing lessons. You know. Just come over to my house, eat cookies and teach me to spin spiraled galaxies of beautiful words with my pen.
This was amazing, and I loved it.

    1. SCREAM. WHAT. *dies* Tane, I don't think I'd be able to teach you. I don't think I'd be able to muster up enough of anything to give you. Because I seriouslycan'twritethatwell. Oh man. I collect the lost things, the given words, the forgotten ones. I collect the broken and thrown away words. With every step you and others take, I'm behind you, collecting the words. So I don't know what to tell you, Tane. You already hold the power in your hands and I'm just the dust sweeper. You already have the power to write.

BUT I LOVE YOU. THANK YOU FOR THIS COMMENT. UGH. *hugs it to death and you too*
